So who it Randy Messman? Well, I got fat. Not super fat, but fat.
I was a former competitive bodybuilder, football captain, pilot, personal trainer, Naval Submariner, salesman, actor, and playwright. I’m currently a semi-fat salesman/triathlon and marathon hobbyist. I’m starting this blog to share my journey and the byproducts of that journey… information. I was very fit. I was very fat. Now I’m kind of fit. I’m currently interested in the paleo diet also known as the ancestral or primal diet. I’m also interested in triathlon and endurance events. However, my interests have always fallen into the category of general fitness and weightloss.
I have a B.S. in Community Health Education with an emphasis in Exercise Science and Nutrition from the University of Nebraska and I have also completed the Naval Nuclear Power Program.
Most recently, I became an IRONMAN Certified Coach. I also a member of the Octane Athletics Training Systems coaching staff, a contributor to Octane Athletics, cohost of the Octane Athletics Fuel Your Fire Podcast, and a regular guest on the Fat Slow Triathlete Podcast.
